CRD tunable solid state lasers

We have been a technology leader in the field of tunable solid state lasers and have developed custom lasers as well as several award-winning commercial products. Our main focus has been on Ti:sapphire lasers, but we have developed other materials systems as well. Our tunable-laser work (with underlined links to other pages at this site ) includes:

Pulsed Ti:sapphire lasers pumped by pulsed, frequency doubled Nd-doped lasers. We developed a commercial product that included an integral, lamp-pumped Nd:YAG pump laser and generated near-diffraction-limited, 100-mJ, 10-ns pulses tunable from 680-950 nm. Custom development has included systems with energies exceeding 400 mJ and 10-kHz-rate sources producing over 2 W of average power. Using either cw Ti:sapphire lasers or single-frequency diode lasers as injection-seeding, we have developed single-frequency, high-energy systems for spectroscopic applications and as drivers for high-efficiency harmonic generation.

CW Ti:sapphire lasers tuning from 670-1100 nm, pumped by ion or frequency doubled Nd-doped lasers. Devices developed as commercial products include conventional standing wave lasers with powers exceeding 6 W, repetitively Q-switched lasers, single-frequency ring-cavity lasers and femtosecond, mode-locked sources.

CW-diode-pumped and pulsed lamp-pumped, 780-950-nm, Cr:LiSAF lasers, including single-frequency ring and high-beam-quality, Q-switched oscillator-amplifier systems.

Cr:YAG lasers pumped by cw, Nd:YLF lasers and tunable from 1350-1550 nm, with power levels exceeding 100 mW and the option of mode-locked operation.
